On Wednesday 1 March, we wished a very happy first birthday to Evolve Hospitality Cambridge! 

We invited candidates, past and present, to attend the small celebration at our Cambridge office, marking the first year of the office. It was fantastic to see so many candidates who have made the Cambridge business what it is, and say thank you for all their hard work in the past year.

Operations Director, Jennifer Walklate, who heads up the Cambridge office said, ‘In just one short year, Evolve Hospitality Cambridge has gone from a team of two in a quiet office; to six full-time staff  in a buzzing HQ, where candidates frequently drop by to say hello, creating a real fellowship between both candidates and staff.’

On the day, we also shared information about the benefits for potential candidates, with market-leading, London Living Wage rates starting at £11.25 per hour for Front-of-House, £15.20 for Chefs, and £11.95 for Kitchen Porters – plus holiday pay for all positions.

Jennifer continued, ‘We’ve really enjoyed building a talented and enthusiastic talent pool of hospitality staff, who are ready and willing to take up their posts across the many and varied hospitality and catering locations throughout Cambridge and the region as a whole.’

We had high hopes when bringing Evolve’s signature temporary hospitality recruitment strategy to the region, and the team have gone above and beyond all expectations to build roots and grow our network across the East of England.’

The Cambridge office welcomes drop-ins from 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, where you can meet the team and learn about the work on offer. Alternatively, you can book in advance and we’ll inform you what to bring with you to get set-up on our books right away, to work at exciting locations such as Newmarket Racecourse, Duxford Air Museum and across the University of Cambridge colleges.
