For our final blog of 2022, we’ve decided to take a look back on all The Evolve Group has achieved in 2022, and appreciate the huge successes our fantastic team has achieved across the year:
Evolve Hospitality
The year began for Evolve Hospitality with the opening of a new office in Cambridge, bringing a whole host of excellent opportunities both in the city itself and across the east of England.
In March we celebrated Evolve Hospitality’s 10th birthday – a massive milestone for the company, especially following the widespread closures of 2020, and in April we held the first Evolve Group conference, and the first Evolve Hospitality conference since 2019.
We launched our new Group branding, created by Fhoke, alongside our new website for both The Evolve Group and our three company websites. The represented a new unified brand for the Group as we enter a new stage of the business.
Throughout the summer we saw the full return of many live sporting and music events that had been cancelled in 2020 and 2021. Evolve Hospitality rose to the occasion by fulfilling the needs of its clients with gusto, running successful front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality, which you can read more about here.
In October it was announced that three of our staff – and The Evolve Group as a whole – had been shortlisted for REC Awards. In November, we celebrated our achievements with a great night at the Award ceremony held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Throughout the year our fantastic team showed dedication not only to their jobs but to the charities we support as a Group, which you can read more about here.
2022 came to a close with the soft launch of our new Birmingham superhub; an office in which Evolve Hospitality, Enhance Catering Recruitment and Collins King & Associates are under one roof, in which we can build networks and share best practice to shape the future of hospitality and catering recruitment.
Enhance Catering
Enhance Catering Recruitment began the year as winners of the REC Awards Start-up of the Year, a high standard at which to uphold ourselves. As the year played out, we certainly lived up to expectations…
We expanded our catering work to cover Manchester and the Greater Manchester area, managed by our super Birmingham recruitment team.
Our South team moved from Redhill to Reigate gaining more space and greater access to the South East to support the business.
We returned to the REC Awards with a nomination, which we then won! Our Business Manager Aaron Lumsdon was announced winner of Best Newcomer in Temporary Recruitment, in a tough category against two colleagues at Evolve Hospitality. We celebrated with the whole group at the awards ceremony.
To end the year, we joined Evolve Hospitality and Collins King & Associates in our new Birmingham superhub, and look forward to the grand opening in January 2023!
Collins King & Associates
For Collins King & Associates, 2022 was a year of incredible growth. Our team grew from six to ten, which has enabled huge expansion across our business. We are now on target for our best ever year since the formation of the company in July 1999!
In 2022, we worked on a number of high-profile opening projects, which will continue over into 2023. We also took on a number of new clients, expanding our networks and further enriching the high calibre of clientele we work with on a daily basis. With the uncertainty faced by the hospitality sector as a whole, there were a record number of vacancies taken on, which our team have successfully filled.
This year brought a face-lift for the company, with a new branding and website in-line with our colleagues Evolve Hospitality and Enhance Catering Recruitment. We ended the year with the opening of Collins King & Associates’ second office in Birmingham, joining with The Evolve Group to bring excellence in hospitality recruitment to the wider country.
We can’t finish our round-up without mentioning the successes of our incredible team: Senior Account Manager, Ben Rice ran the London marathon, raising money for the well-deserving hospitality charity, Adopt a School; and three babies were born to the team – with one more on the way!

With one REC Award win, three new offices, five REC Award nominations, seven babies born (and counting!), 47 new starters, over 466km run for charity and more than 5000 candidates registered (up from 700 in 2021!) – 2022 has been a great success for The Evolve Group.
